Town life during the Black Death
Towns strugled when the black death hit. Kings had to pay higher wages to keep their workers from leaving. Many crops and feilds were left to rot along with some starving cattle. It caused many families to split and many disereted their home towns in fear of dying of the plague. Wool farming became popular during this time as it ment not much labour. During the time of the black death women would replace men for people to confess their sins to(as back then women were not allowed to do this job normally). The black death allowed the poor to become richer because of the desprite kings.
